ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:
Review scheduled Purchase Orders for incoming deliveries. Notify Quality Assurance on the arrival of all incoming material for quality check. Compare information on the purchase order to information on the Bill of Lading and packing list. Unload trucks using a forklift. Record count, pack size, and lot numbers on the receiving ticket. Record any discrepancies in count, pack size or damage on the Bill of Lading. Sign the necessary paperwork to acknowledge receipt of delivery. Record receipt of materials in the Receiving Book. Store ingredients received in the appropriate warehouse location. Rotate stock according to the First Expired lot code. Restack product on pallets, if necessary. Refer to Work Orders for orders to be blended during the shift. Check the daily production schedule and blending order. Pull Work Order and record start time. Pull raw ingredients for the rest of the blend from the warehouse. Verify weights and product numbers of ingredients pulled. Record lot numbers of ingredients on Work Order. Stage the raw ingredients to be blended in the Blending Staging Area. Advise Quality Assurance of blends in the Staging Area. Pull daily orders. Record lot numbers and piece count on the picking ticket. Verify product label, quantity, and weight of each product. Palletize large shipments using stretch wrap and affix the proper pallet label. Place the packing slip on the shipment. Enter shipping information into the computer for all UPS and/or FedEx Ground shipments. Clean the work area at the end of the shift. Inspect Truck/Trailer to ensure product safety, cleanliness, etc. Perform housekeeping tasks in the warehouse as necessary. Perform other related duties as assigned.
1st Shift - 8:00 am - 4:30 pm - Monday through Friday
Requirements:
High School Diploma or a GED, 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment, and 2 years of computer experience. Forklift experience required.
Preferred:
High School Diploma, or two years of technical college, 2 years of warehouse experience, 2+ years of food manufacturing experience, 2+ years of computer experience in Microsoft Suite, and Google.
